Whitelisting An Email Address
Email messages from specific senders can be explicitly permitted to enter an email account’s Inbox. To do this, an email address or domain name can be whitelisted. Spam filters ignore whitelisted emails. If an email account user wants to only permit emails from specific email addresses to enter the account’s Inbox, the account could be set up to block all emails except those with whitelisted email addresses. A custom spam filter does not filter out whitelisted emails unless the spam filter is at the system level. Some examples of how to whitelist an email address are the following.
